Hi, I'm a new ek3 owner, this VAFC is new to me n am keen to find out more.
Can someone tell me more n would it help to improve my car pickup cos I
feel that my engine is sluggish in the sense that I don't feel the surge power.
I suspect something is not correct but I don't know what.

Also, how much is a new VAFC?

there is no mech i've seen that can properly tune a obd2 p2j 003 ecu on ek3 and maintain the 3stage vtec.

some mech can't even find the vtec point on VTI mode if you don't give them your ecu diagram, i kena that before!(it was even at a FAMOUS TUNING WORKSHOP)

you must understand that it runs on 12v lean, 12v, 16v and 16v wildcam mode.

if you read up on d-series.org even the angmohs advise you to throw vafc out of the window at high speed. lol

anyway, other dual vtec engines can see some 5-15hp gains on modded engines. There was once i met a esi with 160hp with vafc2

Hi all Bros,

For Vtec & Air/Fuel management, VAFC or PIGGY BACK ECU is recommended for CL7R?

I think for cl7r piggy back ecu is not as those stand alone ecu. As after a short period of time stock ecu will overwrite the piggy back.
