HELP! Engine dies off when stationary

Post by iceberg77 » Sun Oct 24, 2010 9:55 am

Bros, i need help here. Driving a 2004 es5 for 5 years till ystrdy engine dies off while stationary at traffic light stop. Noticed the battery light came on too. Anyway I quickly restart and is ok. But 1 hr later same thing happen again.

So far no prob in restarting engine, when accelerate also no prob but only happen in stationary mode. I just changed battery 6 months ago. Also usually when battery dieing off, cranking engine becomes a prob. But so far cranking engine is fine.

Also my car has no mods at all. Not sure if it's alternator.

Can any bros who exp the same symptoms before pls advise ?

Many thanks in advance

it's your alternator that is not charging..cos your battery check light light up
better get it check n change it...if not it will drain off your battery too

==> check if the terminal is secured properly... may be just loosen and looses its connection from time to time...

may be a sticky or failing idile air control valve or a vaccum leak somewhere.
