Very nice drive, I like it, very similar to the CM5 in terms of pick-up and handling. But, no offense to the current CP1 owners, but i feel that the SOHC R20 engine is not quite as refined as the K24 when you are accelerating hard, quite coarse sounding at high revs. The CP2 K24 is a little more refined than the CM5, but pity about the blunted acceleration.
The CM5 is a totally different ride - has enough power on tap when you need it (although I've hardly needed the extra oomph).

It has served faithfully up multiple trips to Malaysia, requiring nothing but regular servicing. Hence, the CP2 is a natural progression in my mind.
The rattling windows, rattling A-bar etc - they were sometimes quite annoying especially when ferrying passengers around - passengers who asked "How come Accord got rattle one har?" I too thought the CP2 would be a natural progression until the $7000 difference in price. Bear in mind that when many of us bought the CM5, the CM4 was still unavailable until 2 years later. So now with the uncertain economical future etc, we decided on the CP1.
I've also been monitoring my fuel consumption after one week (in comparison to the CM5) - one full tank could last us a week (CM5) while the same period for the CP1 only used 1/3 (I still have more than half a tank). But then again, the CP1 is 70l while the CM5 was 65l (for a full tank).

My god, the smoothness and the power of the V6 blew me away, the 4 cylinder Hondas simply can't compared with the V6 engine smoothness. But, the drive is mindnumbingly boring, i still like the CM5 best.
For us, once a Honda, always a Honda
