wat is the purpose of it?? or jus make ur car look nice nia??

Let you know if your alternator is working or not.
For most cars, the voltage shouldn't drop below 12V.

For more in depth, when voltage drops too low, some aftermarket ECU stop working properly.
Ex: Honda Civic SiR (EK4) > Hyundai Avante
Current : Honda Accord Euro-R (CL7R) > BMW 328i (F30)
