Improving Brake Power

Post by SiR09 » Wed Jan 19, 2011 2:17 pm

I'm driving a CL7A. Seriously need to beef up the brakes. It feels soggy and not enough stopping power for such a heavy car. Any recommendation(s) what I could do for easy direct-bolt, any workshops I could trust to do the upgrade? I have an average budget so the high-end stuff is out of my reach now.

Thanks for reading and look forward to your recommendations :D

Maybe consider change to steel braided hose instead of brake kit which can costs thousands.

1, drop all unneccessary weights , like spare tyres, heavy woofer, toys, flowers, including sliming dw

2. get good tyres . my minimum requirements is toyo888 but different ppl different tyres. get as wide a width for your profile

3. get good brakes pads . it is very important

4. replace those soggy rubber brake hoses

5. use engine brake

try these abv first . if it doesnt work very well, u can shop ard for a bigger calipers n rotors . i kinda like vttr for budget

gd luck
simple life for now
