Hi guys, need to ask if it's ok for my rear absorbers to have squeeky sound? I check a few times n I can't seems to see any leaks outside the absorbers. Can anyone advise what shld I do? Really need advise from any kind soul here. Getting a bit worried.

O ya, if i need to service my absorbers, is there anywhere that I can go?

What brand u using? Not all absorbers can be serviced locally

Threadstarter's title already stated he's using Zeal suspension, unless that wasn't what he meant!

For that matter I don't know of anyone in Singapore or Malaysia that can service Zeal/Endless suspension items, brakes yes, suspension really not sure....

Try asking Malaysian Endless/Zeal dealers, they may have some lobangs to ship back to Japan for servicing. Doubt you'd have much luck with local agents!

Hi guys, thanks a lot for the feedback! Appreciate ur kind gesture. Just consulted my mechanic and he mentioned that as long as it don't leak, it is okay. Just realize that the squeeky sound don't come in the morning or when my car is stationary for quite some time then move off. The sound only comes when its warm or moving at snail speed. For normal cruising speed, the sound is not there as well. Just worried that if I don't repair, my absorbers will fly out when I go tracking. Haa....

Bearing in mind that your dampers are fixed to the car chassis/undercarriage parts unless the whole thing drops off or gets ripped off it's unlikely your dampers will fall off by themselves! And if yours is the coil-over damper design (meaning your coil springs are encasing the damper body) even if your damper fails totally you have the springs to support the car and let you limp to your workshop to have a new set of suspension put in. Newer designs with the spring separate from the damper will still be able to support the weight of the car just that if you find your car bouncing like mad don't go crazy on the corners anymore....

Have you seen unmaintained cars or taxis driving on the roads with the rears bouncing like some crazy jack in a box? They're probably running with gone case dampers and only the springs are supporting the car so every bump they roll over the car literally bounces loh.....

Plus, coil-overs almost always generate more noise than stock standard suspension sets. Putting in spring dampeners greasing the collars etc etc blah blah is not always productive and in my opinion unnecessary; enjoy the sporty feel that coil-over suspensions brings out for your ride, or stick to stock suspension and drive the car like the A-to-B runaround you'd prefer it to be heh heh..... Whichever option you choose, got to take the good and the bad together!
