Advice On ATF Cooler & Oil Cooler

Hi all,
I'm driving a auto Honda Fit 1.3. I know that installing ATF cooler and oil cooler keep the oils temperature down but the question is if I don't normally drive fast (RPM not above 3) then will installing these 2 coolers affect my engine?

And I mean affecting my engine means that the oils will always stay at a lower temperature cause I got these two mods then is it not good like that?

Hi Mr Lim,

Before you wish for the mod, hv you asked yourself
is the mod meant for modding your car or for real gain?

install them only down the temperature by 1-2 degree max
and alot depend on your driving style and route

i never heard of any ppl who mod their car and say no effect
even in reality there is NONE

but if the installation goes dirty (cannot be seen in short term)
the cost of restoring the problem can be costy

Hi, I sometimes will floor my pedal to max then RPM around 5 for 5 to 10 minutes so thought of installing these 2 mods to keep my ATF and engine oil cool. I mean does it have a huge effect in keeping temperature down? In your optinion, it is worth installing?

dun bother installing it...if honda makers can't even make a car to handle "just 5-10min" of hard driving..we should all scrap our rides liao...haha...
installing the 2 items will be more useful..if u the type tat go tracks..or have serious mods on ur ride...

if you're those 10mins "cheong" driver, that two mod will not helps at all
there's another easier way to lower the temperature by that percentage

change to vented bonnet

technically 10mins of high rpm doesn't bother much the jap engine
btw the engine comparment will auto cool down via the second fan
if it reach too high temp
as for ATF, just change oil at 10k interval with sync will do

the trick to upkeep the car are, do more maintenance rather than depend
on untested modification which only burn pockets

Aiyo.. I always do servicing once reach 10k but the guy never mention anything about changing ATF oil leh.. He only says engine oil.. This 2 different right? That means changing engine and ATF oil together once reach 10k ah? Thanks for all your advice leh.. I also don't want spend so much money on car cause in Singapore cannot run fast de lolx..

dun have 2 change ur ATF @ 10k interval...change it regularly @ 40k interval will suffice...it's juz like changing ur engine oil interval @ every 5k interval...it's a bit 2 much n a waste of $

If you do tracking or always drive long distance daily, maybe you will see abit of difference... if not save the money for other mods.
