I live in Canada and drive a 2008 Acura CSX, which has the same motor found in the Honda Civic 2.0 model.
I have searched high and low for an aftermarket air intake/filter for my car but have found none, not even from K&N! I realize that kits and filters for the 1.8 and Type R models fit my car, but because these are not SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED for the K20Z2 motor, I find that installing these will not yield the best results.
As my father is currently in Singapore and able to get some things for me, I'd like to ask if any of you can recommend a brand of aftermarket air intakes/filters that are manufactured specifically for my application.

I think many open pod all universal.. So long as can fit in then u can use already... Or u can customise them. All aftermarket air intake are 'universal' - maybe with more 'specific' mounting or fitting catered to the more popular models.
None of them will make your car fly, and some even retards your car's performance.
There is no 'specific' made for Honda K20 intake except for original stock Honda... and if you took apart all those variants of the K series air intake, I strongly believe that you'd see exactly the same things in there - for the stock setup.
Being in Canada, cold air is not a problem... once you are moving, the air will be COLD. so it's ok to have short ram intake etc.
Personally I'd tried the Apexi Dual Funnel intake - open pod, short ram. very very good and very very clean compared to others in some independent test conducted some years ago... the filter tho is the throw away type so supply could be a bitch if you dun have a local supplier.
the other one that is proven is the Blitz Sonic air intake system... also proven, and you can 'tune' it a bit by adjusting the funnel in or out.
both systems you might lose a bit of low-mid power in exchange for full bore high end output...
of course, the king of them all in Sgp is the Grouppe M intake system. Not sure if they do something for model car you drive... but it's the priciest, and most bling to have, not to mention many swear by it...
you could always google it to find out more.
if you are doing everyday driving, you should consider the BMC CDA system. This one is a patented canister system. Very effective and gives you good low, mid and high end performance (high end will lose to the open pods so if drag is your game, this is really not it) especially in street driving. The BMC is an international brand made in Italy... you can google it to see more about it. So is the Blitz Sonic...
Choons, as suggested by a bro in an earlier post has customed air intake piping for the various Honda engines... could fit the K20 in your car... but being customised, best to fit it locally. and Choon's reputation is bulletproof.
out of the box sets, i would venture that the Blitz Sonic or the BMC should be a better bet, and easier to carry back to Canada... else spend more $$$ and get the Grouppe M intake.
