Hi, u look new to this forum....
Fyi, bro AL is running on 19" while I am on 18".
FC for sure goes down. Not much but u can see the diff. FC can be improved by installing a pivot drive.
Depending on the profile of yr intended tyres, the ride shall be more bumpy than the 17". The thinner the tyre, the more bumpy.
On the plus side, yr ride will look more sporty and NICE with either an 18" or 19" rims....plus all of us are on chrome rims w some deep dish...so it really brings the attention to the wheels or yr ride!!
Btw, wat color is ride?

I am using 18" and 235/40/18. Cant feel the decrease in FC or pick up. But I can definitely feel good when I see my car.2bfree wrote:Hi guys, I m tinkin of gettin new rims n tires for my CP2. Currently using stock. Any bros here can share with me the info on changin to 18" or 19".

First whatever size u intend to choose, use a tyre calculator and confirm the size u are upgrading is suitable and there is minimum changes to yr overall Outside Diameter. Else u need to re-calibrate yr speedometer.
There are a few thread of this software in the web, just search and you will find them. Still cannot find, pm me.
For yr mentioned 2.4K, u k get a 19" chrome rims w deep dish plus advance tyres!! If u want to see how it look like, pm Bro AL for a short and brief kopi session....he will be most delighted to show u his ride...
If yr visited shops is throwing only 18" , then the price is ex!
The shop I visited can offer nice n affordable 18" but the design is up to each preferences....so u must go and see yrself. If I am available, I can go see w u but must check my time..
If u dont want too bumpy, take something like me, 225/45/18.....IMO, yr 235/40/18 may prove to be a bit more bumpy than mine...but its yr choice..
Cheers!

How is PS2? Heard it is a very good set of street tires.
So far so good, the grip is quite something compared to my previous Yokos. Cornering at 70+ without much of a drama of any tyre squeal. Road noise.. got la, not quite but just turn ICE up abit more lor.
Havent tried it in wet weather yet though.
How are yours? I wanted to get the GY Eagle Asym, but on the day I went PH didnt have stock.
Mine is opposite from you. I wanted PS2 from PH but did not have stock.lingamair wrote:texter wrote:Same here. I do not feel that it is bumpy for me. I am using GY F1asym.lingamair wrote:I'm running 235/40/18 now.. not as bumpy as I thought it would be. Quite happy with it. Using Michelin PS2.

GY F1 is ok. Grippy to me. This is my second set of GY F1 asym. For that price(compared to PS2), cant really complain.
