Greetings!


Any brother or sister running on Ogura clutch and flywheel before?
Please provide me with feedbacks.
1)Wear Rate (normal driving)-can less 2yrs?
2)Replacement of clutch pad(cost)
3)drivability?

If u r talking abt the single plate metal one,
Wear rate is abt 12k km to 15k km, depending on ur driving style too.
Pad is abt 400+ to 500+ depending on where u get them too.
Drivaliblity depends on ur setup. But if u gettin new supersingle, aft the clutch bed in n it starts to grab, all hell break loose..... Esp if u got mounting inserts...
As for the carbon type, heard say quite easy to drive n last longer. u might wan to try that.

btw... izit all ogura super single clutch got the "ching ching" sound when pressed??

ORC Pro-Carbon clutch, single plate, very soft almost like stock clutch feel (ALMOST), very easy to get used to, easier on the legs than the multi-puck sports clutches commonly available....

Carbon disc also means really good endurance, of course this depends on how brutal you are on the clutch! An EG6 track car on this clutch did 500++ laps on SIC, when taken out the carbon disc looks almost new....

Pretty expensive but I guess the durability pays for itself.....

As for the clinging sound, unless you are getting the damperless plate design models, ORC single plates will have that sound.... Usually if it is soundless it will be advertised as such!

This sound also gets progressively louder as the clutch beds in and/or gets worn....more free play available thus more space to "vibrate".....

If we compare cost effectiveness,Wouldyou guys choose Ogura or Exedy?

Coincidentally I was on Exedy 3-puck clutch set before I changed to Ogura, the Exedy wears pretty fast but for its price it is "relatively" affordable. The clutch action is old school, stiff but nowhere as "vague" a feel as stock clutch setups. It definitely is no 'light-action' clutch, but at its price range it is an affordable "starter-level" sports clutch.

The Ogura range of clutches should have better wear than the Exedy, but at a cost premium. Even the 'light-action' sports clutches from Ogura cost more, set for set. If you go up the range to the carbon types the cost gets a wee bit prohibitive, brand new. But if you manage to get more durability out of your set of Oguras, I think the cost factor MAY work out to be similar (of course depending on which model in the Ogura range you go for!)....
