Coolant gone faster with full AL radiator?
Coolant gone faster with full AL radiator?
Hi all! For those who use full aluminum radiator, does the coolant in the reservoir tank "missing" fast? I top up the reservoir tank till the "Full" mark but more than one-third will be gone within a week. Wonder is that normal? Cannot find any leak and coolant in radiator appears clear too. Coolant temp as high as 94 deg-c when stationary after drive.
At less the 100 degrees there is no leak.if it shoots up to 120 then there is a problem... Pls only mix 1/3 of coolant to ur mixture. Water for the rest. water must be at 70% or 80% Coolant doesn't really cools your engine. its just an additive for anti rust and some other things.Water has the best heat transfer properties.
Never never user 100% coolant thinking it will cool the engine better. You will end up doing a top overhaul this way.If your skeptic ... google it since your already reading this on the internet. And since u have a water temp gauge. Try it.Drain all the coolant and use only water.U get lower heat readings.
If your really concerned abt engine cooling. Use only water and add Redline Water Wetter. U will see a significant drop in temps.

thermostat reading was showing 38 ~ 41 degrees during morning CTE driving conditions (with juz 1/3 coolant mixture)
with water added to the coolant ... gauge shows 30 ~ 34 degrees
so must say WATER is really impressive ... if add our SG's NEWater, will it become even more impressive ?
