Changing Speedometer Light Colour..diy?

Hi guys .. my ride came with a white speedometer and a switch below the steering to change it from Blue/Green.. personally i want it red.. or white? is it possible to DIY the colour change? if not.. any recommendations on where i can get it changed? do let me know .. thanks guys

can change but have to take out the el meter first, bulbs can be purchse from sim lim towers

i just read the link..

hmm im not sure if i understand correctly.. the material used for the meter is such that it emits a glow when electricity is passed through it. and a different glow depending on the amt of electricty wired to it. thus mine is able to toggle from green to blue.

which is to say.. there is no bulb??

Bingo!!!! You got it right for part one!!! :wink: :wink:

It is just a piece of material placed above your stock meters.... the stock meter still has bulbs.... wat bro SGTHAL means is to remove this EL piece from the meter and the original meter will surface... :D :D

yeah. correct. becareful when removing the EL sheets. dun use too much force or else the needle might just break.

this sheet is behind the needle? hmm.. gotta tear around it? or remove the needle..damn scared i damage the needle.

btw so once i have it removed.. i just change the bulbs to fire red .. and its done ?

also .. mine are not stock.. the prvious owner installed this

hi bros, i jus got a el meter for my EG6,
any idea how to install it?do i have to remove the original meter? wat abt the el meter connector?
im new to this car but would like to try diy myself :)
