My new fit 08 both headlight near signal got blurry spots!

Post by 8BallZ » Mon Apr 06, 2009 1:14 am

Hi,

Ani1 happens to have the same problem as me?

Problem;

Both headlights near signal area got blurry spots. ( like dirty glass like dat )

Tried to clean it, found that the spots is from the inside of the headlight.

Isit a factory defect? but when i bought the car 7mths ago it was ok until recently saw it leh.

Thanks..

its call fogging of headlamps... happens due to water vapour inside your headlamp housing... Did you change your headlight bulbs recently?? :roll: :roll:

i got vapour stains after changing to aftermarket headlamps (not bulbs thou)

wat i did was to get the seller to apply silicon glue round the seals of the lamp (especially the top part nearer to our bonnet)

HOWEVER, DO NOT SEAL UP ENTIRELY.

Leave the base portion untouch ... simply bcos HOT AIR EXPANDS !!

Failure to do so will lead to your headlamps crack !

Remove the both the headlamps and sun it. After that, let is cool down for awhile. Apply all round black weather-proof duct tape and tape all round the gap of the headlamp. You shd be able to prevent it from fogging during wet weathers :lol:

Same problem as Honda Civic. Send it back to agent for replacement under warranty. All the car will eventually get it. So make sure if you get it, replace it under warranty.
