Electrical Air Charger

Post by miico » Tue May 13, 2008 11:31 pm

Hi all, I'm from SGAirwaver Forums.

Anybody knows anyone tried this product yet?
Between Turbocharger and Supercharger, I think it should be more like mild supercharger, cos runs on electric blower, hence no turbolag...

This product has been in market so many years(always see ad in magazines), must have some positive customers out there.

The Advert price fos this is $680.
the sales exec will be willing to install for us at $600 if I can get 4 buyers.

Someone maybe have friend who installed the ADM I or the ADM II charger?
8) good  n  bad  reviews to share please.

don't think you should waste money that way. 680 is a high price that gives you marginal performance. and body kit add weight.

anyways, engine vacuum is actually pretty strong.

thanks tow, for your opinion.

I agree $680  is really steep, hence the shop agreed if got 4 then can get at $600 (which is still steep, but less painful..hahaha)

Product boasts better pickup on low end and Fc wil improve.
If really so, if FC can improve 5%, then I can cover the product cost in 1.5 years and enjoy the better pickup.(hm... y not? )

So I really want to hear from real drivers who have installed the product...

no matter how fast that fan spin.. the air travel can never be as fast as the suction from the TB.

it may show improve on low end performance. But at high end, that stuff may become an obstuction.

Anybody who actually installed this and strongly finds its a bad mod?

dun waste $. u'll know the truth when u do a dyno run with that. There is no such tings as free HP. If ur engine makes more power.. ur FC increase. The free way to make more power is to reduce weight in yr car.. fastest, free and most effective way to make yr car more powerful.. a good bodykit design will also be better way to spend yr $ if it helps reduce air drag

Do you know what speed you need to drive before a good bodykits take effect(reduce air drag)?
properly more then 180-200km/h(depends on weight of the car).
FYI, I drive 160km only, my licence kerna HANG oredi -section 279!! Luckily my car no bodykits, if not I talk until you no face! HAHA

SO HOW FAST YOU WANT TO GO??

Well ...I would not make such comment if I were you. Bench Dyno are done with fan system attached to the engine, and manages it directly. You can easily find a fan that can deliver more speed and air then even a 1000hp engine can take ...it is a matter of engineering requirement.

Of coz, needless to say, such PROPERLY designed fan system is seldom seen in aftermarket scene. :x
Pls dont ask me for wkshop, as I know none...I only know it is safer and faster to fix cars on my own.

I've put in the ADM for a week so far.
Immediately on the first drive after installaing I found my car has a much better pickup.

for normal everyday driving I think its definately a worthy investment as I spend most of my driving time from1500rpm~2750rpm...(ADM says the fan speed is variable depending on the engine rev... hence higer rpm..fan speed increases. At idling 800rpm, the fan is stationary)

On highway, my cruising speed is 5~10km/h more than usual..
now monitoring if I can reach a FC better then my old setup. based on the meter its actually better by 1(but I dun trust the meter 100%)

I cannot say much for the high rpms
