Anyway, like all Hondas I've driven (3 x Civics, 2 x Accord), there is a 'sweet spot' at the appropriate RPM and speed that the car runs at it's smoothest and quietest.

After collecting my ride yesterday. The service adviser said that there is still one CP1 in KAH trying to solve the vibration issue. Wonder who's ride is there. SJK5**.

My car vibration is actually negligible. only in the morning when the engine is warming up, after that it will be fine.

u take out your VS and stuff and see how...or perhaps its the 18" that's stabilizing your vibration...

Did some driving to-and-fro from home (Marine Parade) to the airport last night.

The 'sweet spot' for my CP1 was 2000 RPM (approx) @ 90 km/h - steady cruising speed. Nice!!!!!

do you notice on constant speed (using cruise control) and negotiating a bend, our accord seemed to be faster than most cars?

The only time i use cruise control is in the KPE tunnel. But apparently most of the cars seem to know where to speed up and slow down except me

So I am normally slower than most cars.

But I did witness the speed camera go off once in the tunnel, the flash was really bright.

Just wanna add to this.

I am driving a CP2 for abt 6 mths. Some of my colleague were quite excited about the new Accord. So we went to Lim Chu Kang Rd which is a long straight road. I floor the accelerator and kick down 2 gears. The it accelerated, and before you know it, it was going at 160 km/h.

The thing is all of us in the car did not feel anything, the car is very stable and the engines just hum a bit louder. My colleague was like saying like that only? We don't feel the surge of the pick up, nor the roar of the engine. Actually come to think of it, it is quite a boring car. It is fast, but you cannot feel it, it can accelerate, you also cannot really feel it. We can only see it in the speedo that it is accelerating. Not too sure if it is a good thing, but it loses the fun out of driving.

just wan to add some of my opinion for my CP2. driving for 2 months plus. noise level is definitely better.(my last ride is civic es5)

for the moving off, got the same feeling as you. got the lagging and changing gear feeling... unless you depress more on the pedal. then it will be more reponsive and smooth.(but i cant be going so fast at the moving off from stationary unless there is no car in front of me.)

engine is only more noisy when starting up the car. after warming up and moving off, will be less noise.

just went to kl last week. going at 160-200km/h, its really very stable. noise is minimal. the pick up from 100 plus onwards is quite responsive. and pretty fast in picking up from 140 to 190. but after that i think is the speed limit. went to ard 200 plus a bit only...
overall, its a luxury car, if you wan to win from moving off, its impossible. but when going at high speed, anytime can pick up.

anyone cares to comment too???

it's not that i'm KS, we're one of the top 100 owners for the CP so my expectations are slightly higher. plus, KAH's marketing has been good and daring to put down the Accord as one of the powerful being built so far...powerful must match certain criteria/conditions, don't you think so?

I'm merely upkeeping that saying from KAH. or should I say it's consistent with KAH's direction.

like you I have quite a high expectation from km. Did you notice that our boot cover over the spare tire is only supported by a thin piece of cardboard?
What happen was that after 6 months the part of the board sag down. And what I carried was boot full of groceries on Sat only. Sometimes golf bags.
I sent it back to KM and they claim that I over load the boot for a long period of time and will not replace it, I know I never overload and was quite mad and insist that they replace the board. Since they insist that I over load I ask them what is the acceptable loading, which they cannot tell me bcos too light is unreasonable and too heavy it obvious that a few mm of cardboard cannot hold. In the end they replace it for me.

Bro out there do check your boot cover. KM is trying to hide their deficiency in their design.

Agreed, my boot board also sag and I only do groceries on weekend. Hmm...fyi, I have added foam blocks to support it from below...may be talked to KM during the up coming services of 6K mileage (after 6 months)

IMO our CP is classified under "luxury sedan" category, as such, u wont be able to hear roaring sounds. Unfortunately..

As for the surge or feel of power, I do get it when I go on "S" mode. Try it on a uphill slope with another pax with u and push the car hard on the accelerator....the surge will be felt.....I have done it quite a few times...

Perhaps u r loaded with 4 pax in yr car and u r on the "D' mode?

I suggest u meet up with us and we can try together...and hopefully it wont be a dull car....

as for km's reply to the boot...we all know better. i have since voiced out strongly to the service team in km lengkee.
