ya. the CP2. But ah. as the CP2 have memory seat and the original key is key #1 and #2 which is link to the 2 memory setting.

The flip key can still work with the memory seat?

bro, we are given 2 remote keys (key 1 n key 2, got number on it, chk) plus 1 master key.

If u use remote key 1, it remembers yr setting 1. Same goes if u use remote 2. This is good when u have 2 drivers on the same car.

When they change yr key, they just transfer the 3 buttons from yr original key, cut the new key pattern and soldering the key for the immobiliser to work. No alteration of remote. So, setting are not affected.

IMO, alter 1 remote is enough. the other remote key, use during servicing when u go to workshop.

I never ask warranty... Anyway, they got record yr car number and told me to go back if any problem.

Time to change, approx. 20mins.

bro, they cannot duplicate yr remote. They will open yr original key and transfer the 3 buttons remote unit. its actually a single unit with 3 buttons once u open the yr original key cover.

In the end, u get your "emptied" key back with the new flip key remote.

They only remove the eletronic chip fr the key. And place the chip into the new housing with the new machined key. then become flip key. Mmm... like that. izzit a bit ex for a key machine work and a new housing for $98? Sorry ah. dun know the market rate.

So at the end of the day. i can still remove the chip out and put it back to the original key housing?

think the prob is not due to engine vibrate,
its something a bit losse/or...???
whenever going low speed and over uneven roads, the sound will come out...
now feeling more and more peh chek..
will go kah motor for this prob. hopefully they can solve...

Finally had the opportunity to take a 2300km malaysia drive break during the last couple of weeks. Previously had the CM5 that made many runs up north, covering areas from Penang to Trengganu. This trip was the 1st one made with the CP2, so there was definitely some comparison going on between the 2 different versions.

Pros of CP2
1) Very capable cruiser on the NSHW. Steering felt firm and stable, cruising at 150km/h felt like 110km/h. Very reassuring. 180km/h did not feel excessively fast.
2) Rear aircon is a huge plus point for the rear passengers, together with the rear sunscreen. There was no need to blast the front aircon to prevent complaints from the rear passengers
3) Legroom is noticable improved from the CM5, there is more legroom for the rear passengers
4) Suspension felt firmer than the CM5, the big undulations on the NSHW near malacca did not feel like it taxed the rear suspension as much as the CM5.
5) Paddle shifts allowed me to hang on to the gear i want when climbing and descending Cameron Highlands.
6) Engine note felt more refined or engine noise isolation from cabin is better.

Cons of CP2
1) The tire noise of the stock tyres are atrocious. The only way that i felt that i was going at 160km/h was the fact that the tire noise level was very high.
2) The car is significantly bigger than the CM5 in terms of dimensions. Had a hard time parking in tiny malaysian city carpark lots, the rear or the front of the car sure jut out from the lot. Parallel parking is incredibly difficult in lots designed for Perodua kancils.
3) Steering is heavier, but the steering response is not as sweet as the CM5. The steering response is not so immediate, the car does not feel as chuckable.
4) Despite higher claimed horsepower, the CP2 pulling power is pretty gutless even in sports mode or manual paddle shift. Its really that terrible. The old CM5 trumps the CP2 comprehensively in acceleration and pulling power, the difference is obvious to me who has driven both versions, although i must admit that the power deficit is less apparent in city traffic. The CM5 accelerates hard and overtakes traffic uphill. The CP2 struggles to accelerate meaningfully uphill, and overtaking going uphill must be planned carefully. I suspect it has something to do with the gear ratios for the lower gears, 2nd gear appears to be particularlly tall for the CP2.

Anyway, CP2 is a great car. If only it had the performance of the previous CM5, then it would be even better!

Forgot to add, fuel consumption is great! 13km/l on NSHW cruising, but 7km/l in Penang terrible girdlock...

as for overthrow new accord, i have tried...maybe we need to sign petition.

mark x is not that fast too if CP2 has the v6 in, i think faster than mark x. noise-wise, what tires are you using currently?

still i prefer accord...though i like the camry too. maybe the chrysler 300 (2009 model) will be my next target....
