Hello Ody friends,
I would like to seek advise on this problem that is really irritating me quite badly after driving the 2015 Ody for nearly 1 year. I had noticed slight vibrations which can be felt at the dashboard and steering wheel when I first got the car when the car comes to a stop (e.g idling at the traffic lights). It was still not too bad then but the problem has gotten some bad now that I can feel the vibrations through the front seats to the head rest. It really feels like a freaking diesel taxi now and is driving me nuts (since our little island is filled with traffic lights!).
Going back to Kah had yielded no solution with them saying this vibration is felt even in their new cars (implying I did not notice when I test drove the car). I checked with my own usual garage and he said its a design issue and he can't do anything since the new Honda does not even allow non-authorized garage to plug into the ECU.
I would like to ask if any other Ody 2015 owner is seeing this issue and if there is a solution to this problem. This is my second Honda and I'm so disappointed that I'm considering approaching CASE to assist.
Thanks for the advices.

Re: 2015 Odyssey Having Vibrations at Idling
Hi Song,
How's your case going on? Reported to CASE? Any help?
I just bought my Odyssey early this year and I think I have the similar problem as yours. I am driving the car for <3 months..
When I send in for First Service Repair and inquiry about this, it was being told they never heard of this issue, probably because of the design issue and there is nothing they can do about it. I can feel the most of the vibration when the car is moving. Eg when the car driving at constant speed of >80/km, you can feel the vibration, and indeed, VERY IRRITATING.
Similar as yours, I go back to the front office and was being told to test drive again, and it appear this issue is there without us noticing when test drive (It was not obvious when test drive).
I guess none of us would expect this "Basic" issue when bought the NEW car. This is my second Honda, my first Honda car is Civic and it gave me so much problem after 5 years and I decided to quickly sell it off.
I am wondering what should or what can we do about this?
Rdgs,
Marcus

Hello Marcus
Looks like the EarthDream is pure crap. I know I have bought my last Honda. No nothing done and I really also don't have the time n effort to keep going back to Kah. I thought they got the idling point wrong but if you r seeing vibration at high speed it may be something else. You know how much effort they r putting in when they straight away show u the test car and tell us we were idiots for not detecting these craps when we bought it.
You should go CASE since yours is only 3 months old. I couldn't as my was past 6 months when I went back to them. At the end of the day, my return to Jap car only confirmed both conti n jap brands do produce craps. I'm just got to bear until it's near 5 years old before I change.

The problem is with dreams earth engine + CVT.
In US, Honda finally admitted their 2015 CRV that has earth dreams +CVT has vibration issues.
You can go YouTube to find official word from Honda.
It should be the same for 2015 odyssey since it's the same Earth dreams +CVT combination.
This I don't think KM can dispute.
In US they came up with a fix for 3 different vibrating symptoms.
Likewise not all 2015 CRV or Odyssey here exhibited the symptom.
Of course the fix was released (but not officially published) due to many ppl suing Honda.
Not sure what Kah motors can do.. But I think the Honda YouTube video on Earth Dreams +CVT on 2015 CRV will help.

Re: 2015 Odyssey Having Vibrations at Idling
Hey guys.. Thanks for your notes.
Still unhappy with the vibration issue, I went back early this week to another Honda service centre. This time, I request a senior engineer to attend to my issue as I explained to them I am not happy with the previous advise. The engineer listen to me and observe, then he start to explain everything is normal, definitely will feel vibration as the engine is running + Aircon. He know I am not satisfied with the answer and requested another senior engineer (The supervisor of the service team I believe). He tested my car (On the road) and concluded everything is normal. They can feel what I meant by the vibration when the car is moving, but again, quoted it is because the engine is running and the car is moving! Honestly, the service level is okay as they really paying attention to my complain and spending time to help me understand the logic of vibration when the engine+Car is running! This is the 6th car in my life, and I think this is the only car that I am experience this issue.
Fireweed, now I have to agreed with your comments that we are basically buying a piece of crap. Maybe we are the lucky few?
Going to CASE will eventually spent more time, and ultimately, CASE is only acting as middle person and they still let us resolve ourselves. Even the engineer do not have solution to our issue, not because they refuse, but because everything appear NORMAL to them. I start to think about the fifth year now..
Seahed7, I also quoted your sharing to them. But basically, they were explaining it is all different issue, different spec, different country, etc etc etc - Basically, they have not heard any recall/issue from HQ for this model, hence, no issue. ie, it is working perfectly fine.
For now, I will just write in to Honda as a record of my unhappiness (I called customer service and they ask me to write in). Other than that, I have no clue what else can be done. Simply not able to forget the issue as I can feel it everytime I am driving.. Very disappointed with no solution to this issue. Driver seat should be the most comfortable and important, yet, it is the worst!
No more Honda for me, "The Power To Dream - of nightmare"!
