Post by chrisy » Sun Mar 04, 2012 12:52 am

Hi would like to check with fellow bro. My ride when at halt its water temp is around 90 degree. But when on expressway it go about 106 degree. Is it common or my cooling system spoilt?

106 is very high....
Even on track I do not get above 100
Ex: Honda Civic SiR (EK4) > Hyundai Avante
Current : Honda Accord Euro-R (CL7R) > BMW 328i (F30)

somethings wrong somewhere. Temp is high for sure, should get it checked out soon. High water temp means your engine is running hotter. Which cld speed up wear and tear more rapidly.

I realise when i stop my air con, my radiator fan stop working. Does it happen to u all? Could it be a cause to my high water temp?

air-con on trigger both fan. air-con off, engine fan will only activated when water reached desire degree point so means engine fan is standalone unit.

Check your thermostat - it could be stuck and only opening half way.

Faulty themostat like he said, due to spring did nt push back the stopper. Try changing ur coolant cap first. Use distill water is the best
