CL7: screeching noise when i change gears

Hi, I drive a CL7R. It makes a screeching noise when I change gears when the car is on high rev. It makes a screeching noise when I shift up and down.

Is it the belting? Fan belt? V ribbed belt?

What is the recommended size for the Cl7?

Which gear you have this sound?
I think the syncro on the gear is worn out, need to change.
Need to bring down the whole gearbox and may be good to replace the clutch if needed as it is expensive.

Need to pre-order before to do this repair as the syncro is not ex-stocks.

@ professor. Thanks for the reply.

When I bought over the car, the stock clutch has been changed to Exedy Racing clutch. The clutch lining was also changed.

Wow I didnt expect the problem to be coming from the gear syncro and clutch. Was told by the previous owner that it was the fan belt because he couldnt find the fan belt of the right size and the fan belt which he replaced was one size larger.

Confused now..

Good luck to u bro ! Hope urs is a fan belt or fan pully problem ! Cos my was snycro wore out , and I just change full set of clutch den notice it was snycro problem ! Needed to change 3,4,5 to beware of those wore 1 by 1 .

Stock clutch will set you back by abt $430. The syncro is in a pair type I think, ie 1-2, 3-4, 5-6. Each pair is abt $500 plus.

The prices I quote is only for de spares. I am sure of de clutch price. The syncro price is from a forum bro.
The few places you can try are skm, mr or Gary engrg,
These few workshops are familiar wif CL7

Lastly, you will get better response wen you post in the accord folder.

Lots a helpful bros there, not forgettin de meetups and poison you'll get. ;P

Clutch not engage fully before gear change. Have the mech who install ur clutch. Try adjusting more freeplay for a start since u juz change it.
