Whining noise

Post by chocobabe » Tue Jul 27, 2010 4:51 pm

Need help with Civic Type R!

Whenever i drive fast 'inconsistently', there's this weird whining sound. And it stop after i depress slightly on brake, when i let go of the brake, the whining noise continues.
But after less than 10mins, the whining sound will go off if i drive at constant speed or slow down.

Im just wondering probably because of the sudden fast pick up/driving so 'the mechanic' gets hot and expand hence the whining noise?

Can anyone help ? :( :(

hey bro,

is it like a boiling kettle whistle? and it appears louder when u accelerate faster... and disappears when you brake or park.

I had that problem with my accord. but ever since i did my servicing at another mechanic, the sound is no longer there. i suspect maybe could be an air-lock when they did servicing for u recently, my bet?

hope it helps

Yes, the sound disappear after i depress on brake or park. If i carry on driving, the sound will disappear after 5mins.

No.. my servicing was like many months back ago.
Not sure what problem but i'll try to pop by the workshop ..
