vibration - help
vibration - help
have been driving on used CP2 for about a week and really find the vibration when idling while in gear quite excessive.
so i brought it down to KM for 30k servicing and ask them to look into the vibration.
was told by KM, such vibration in CP2 is inherent they cant do anything!!
wa kaoz!! like that also can!! so Honda spending so much funds to design a brand new accord and also design it to vibrate!!???
and KM said, ya it is inherent!!!
any bro here "suffer" the same fate as me, having bought a vibration car?
any bro got suggestion on how to resolve this issue outside KM? like changing engine mounting to a better ones?
cheers.

Re: vibration - help
when i got my car last month, they gave me the menu and some stuff, one of the leaflet inside stated that because of the performances, you can expect the vibration to be much more than any other luxury cars...acechew wrote:have been driving on used CP2 for about a week and really find the vibration when idling while in gear quite excessive.

yo, u may want to refer to one of the old thread in which the vibration issue was discussed:acechew wrote:have been driving on used CP2 for about a week and really find the vibration when idling while in gear quite excessive.

My 2006 Accord 2.0 (Kah Motor Model) has an unpleasant vibration at idle with the car in gear and my foot on the brake. The vibration comes right through the steering wheel and is worse when the aircon compressor cycles on. Also, turning on the lights and putting a load on the alternator makes the vibration worse. When you shift the Gear ro "P" position the vibration reduced. I have replaced the front and rear motor mount from outside workshop, but problem still persisted. If I gently rest my foot on the gas pedal and raise the RPM's to just under 1000 things smooth out. My idle seems to hover around 750 rpm. What is the correct idle speed and can it be adjusted?
I went to Kah Motor and the advisor say is normal for Honda, but i just feel that the car should not have this kind of vibration.
Any other ideas as to how to eliminate this vibration?
Re: vibration - help
well KM told me exactly the same thing, say it is normal. and told me that they will arrange a brand new CP2 to let me sit in and "experience" the so call normal vibration, that was 3 weeks ago and no one call me from KM.iphone3gs wrote:I experience the same stuff.acechew wrote:have been driving on used CP2 for about a week and really find the vibration when idling while in gear quite excessive.

that's the last time i am going to KM for servicing!! crap excuses!! say that CP2 is designed to vibrate like that!!
anyway, i went to my workshop, and clean the throttle body, the vibration is less now, acceptable level, still monitoring to see if the vibration will come back or not.

Dear acechew,
I also having the same problem since Day 1 I collected the vehicle. I am really disappointed with the workshop esp the Ubi guys. I have to give them instruction like check the air filter, spark plugs, idling rpm, etc. I think I can be a better service adviser than them. I went for 3 services and they do wheel rotation w/o balancing the front wheels. This is a laughing stock when I went outside to rectife the problem. Anyway I thinking of changing car later part of the year (if got $$$). This will be the first and last Honda I will be buying, esp from KM.

well, it is not the car, it is the lack of knowledge and half past six servicing that cause all the grieve. anyway i am done with KM for servicing. bought a used CP2 at 36k mileage, told them to service based on 40k, but they insist on servicing it based on 30k package. paid them 600+ and i found out that, air filter not change not even clean with air gun. spark plugs is at a stage that it cant go on for another 10k, engine oil over filled, i got to rectify all this at my workshop!! am not going back to KM anymore.flatyre wrote:Dear acechew,

SOLUTIONS TO SOLVE ACCORD VIBRATION AFTER TRiAL AND ERROR + EXTENSIVE RESEARCH FROM INTERNET.
1)Change engine mount. If got warranty then HENG! if not cost $1200 if done in KM. OUTSIDE WORKSHOP $500- $600.
2)Change transmission fluid.
3)Change spark plug. ( personally i change brisk silver spark plug)
After doing the above 3, my accord vibration from 6/10 reduce to 2/10.
voltage stablizer and KNN filter don really help in reducing vibration.

Day 3 when collected car changed. No change to vibration

Changed at every servcing, no change to vibration.

Have not changed...so no comments.

Just to add on to my previous post on my accord 08 2.0L vibration problem.
1) I sound proof the car but it only reduce the vibration noise a bit. I know it will not cure the root of the problem but the vibration is too irritating! People telling me that how come so noisy when siting at the back ( vibration noise ). Soundproof can't really cut off the noise.
2) I discovered that if i use back Shell ultra helix, vibration will be greater. I tried redline engine oil, seems to be slightly better. Have not tried other brand of engine oil.
3) Conclusion : Regretted buying this car. Stuck with the car now.
