Am driving a 93 esi, my fuel consumption has been low even after servicing, any idea why and how to improve it? I switch gear ard every 3k rpm, should i be pushing it more before switching, will it help?

i dont think u should be pushing the rev meter higher before changing...it might even worsen your fuel consumption..
few tips u can try..
1. try accelerating lightly...
2. get rid of all the rubbish in your car which you dont need
3. check your tyre pressure regularly.

ok, will keep that in mind, there's practically nothing heavy in the car, besides me, and my tyre pressures are just right...... Hmmm, anyone else have any clue?

I thot that's what the stock ECU is suppose to do? Or is this an additional thing you have to fix on?

Its additonal. Did u mod ur car alot that the ECU cant read properly resulting in A/F ratio haywire.
Check ur tyre pressure 1st.

Car not modded, just old, so have been replacing parts as I go along... Latest change is to a stock ECU as my previous one got corroded and engine light kept staying on. Does the mech need to retune my car or something? Or is it some other parts problem? Don't really want to keep changing parts and not solving the problem...

I do have to top up the radiator water every other month but speed wise, there's still power and speed in the mid range. Will any workshop have the equipment to rechip or I have to go specific ones? Have been going to CL for awhile...
Nice car BTW....
