Hi
I had a problem of my CVT gears 'slipping' - it sometimes suddenly jumps a few hundred rpm then go back to normal. I changed the gearbox but still have a similar problem. The workshop didnt know how to tune my vafc so now it's kind of redundant. I also have trouble with high end - the car cant even reach 5500rpm right now.
I'm thinking of retuning my vafc to see if that might be the cause. Does anyone know how to contact VIC000? He tuned for me the last time.

hmmm...good point. haven't tried. Will try in the morning. So if I can rev high (6000+), then it means it's the gearbox? I think the workshop should have tested it that way already. But I will try it out anyway.
Thanks for the advice.

tried the revving at N. It stops at 5500rpm and shakes there. When I told the workshop, he said it's the rev cutoff and that it's the same for all cars. is that true?

Apparently it is true. When at neutral, the rev is cut off at 5500. (approx). when gear is engaged, i can still push up to the redline before it's cut off or gear changes.
