Anyway....from my past experience with my old rides ...coralla,mazda Gt,starlet etc etc....the rule of thumb was to change the timing belt when mileagae about 90k to 100K or at least tats wat i was told...
If u look at my other thread on my upgrading of cams...recently itchy backside browsing thru buy sell forums bot a set of type R cams....my current mileage about 85k....
So just like all good civic bro very kan chiong to change my cams....this turn out to be a blessing cos when my mech open up my engine he found my timing belt starting to have hair line tear...very obvious...SO lucky i decide to change cams otherwise i would have drive till 90 or maybe 100k to change my timing belt and i am pretty sure before that belt would have SNAPPEd and that would be the end of my B16...
So i guess civics on b16s because of our civic driving culture....dont tell me u guys never drive hard MOST of the time better take care good time to change tming belt between 70 to 80k....cheers and drive safe.....
