Question on E-manage blue...
Hi bros currently my stock b16a hooked up to a emb piggy back...however last time when i got it done up only hooked up the air flow control and vtec shift function...so far running fine...but what i u nderstand is that the emb can also control ignition timing with the additional harness...i also have the harness but have not gone about the hook up to control the ignition thingy....any advice from experienced bros about any issues that might encounter if i go about to control the ignition timing...i am very eager to try it out....
WRX/EVO...Hmm and of course...Golf Gti... please dont Jio me...i only 1.6L Auto...u are 2.0L Turbo....

Re: Question on E-manage blue...
==> if the engine is perfectly stock and still in its original condition without having any setting done to the distributor or cam settings, EMB can safely manage the ignition. But if somehow the ignition has already been changed due to either engine internal changes, ie cams, piston change, etc etc... advancing the ignition will introduce danger of knocking or detonation or ping which will blow the engine.rango wrote:Hi bros currently my stock b16a hooked up to a emb piggy back...however last time when i got it done up only hooked up the air flow control and vtec shift function...so far running fine...but what i u nderstand is that the emb can also control ignition timing with the additional harness...i also have the harness but have not gone about the hook up to control the ignition thingy....any advice from experienced bros about any issues that might encounter if i go about to control the ignition timing...i am very eager to try it out....
If you remember, we tried connecting the ignition control but a slight increment of the ignition signal resulted engine ping. We tried enrich the airflow signal, retarting the distributor quite a fair bit also doesn't help. That was why I advise you not to connect it.
I wander why you're re-visiting this issue again.
