Exhaust broken in two

Post by epidurals » Mon Jan 11, 2010 1:46 pm

Hi guys,

Driving an esi. sent to my mech for servicing last week and he told me my exhaust is broken. he took some shots of it and looks like it must have broken when i went over a hump too fast few months back.

anyone knows what's the drawback of not changing my exhaust soon? what else will it affect? and most importantly, is it going to be dangerous? ive already been driving with it for past month or so, when driving window down, eyes does get watery, and the smell of the fumes is super strong.

its either this, or my steering master pump that will be changed next. hoping to get some input last min.

Drawback = LTA like emperor said~

Noiser car, your neighbours will hate you and throw stuffs down at you.

Which part is broken? Near to extractor? near to muffler box? or the middle?

haha okay didnt think of that. so definitely need to change before next road tax renewal huh. thanks!

hmm, how about technical side effects? lower fuel consumption/health hazard? been noticing the smell for one month plus, but my eyes are starting to be irritated only recently when drive with window down - suspect the exhaust again la..

think its the mid-end part. went to JB, and can even grab hold of the exhaust pipe and it feels cold even.

before or after CAT?

If before:
By now, u should feel that your low end power gone.
if u travel more on city, will increase FC.

If After:
Just ask them to do sideplant la. u can choose high pressure at low end,
low pressure during high end. ( open)
