Post by alexchoo » Mon Oct 12, 2009 12:34 am

hi guys..

hope u all can help me out here.. i will go dwn to wksp to chk if problem persist but would like to get some ideas what could be the faults..

juz now was driving and when high rev to overtake a car i feel the car jerk but manage to overtake..

feeling something is wrong, when i park my car, switch to neutral and rev..
to my surprise, the rev needle stuck at 3.. hesitate for a while den go up to 5.. den try again.. this time it hesitate at 4 den go up..

its seems like i stepping and letting go of the accelerator but im pressing it down all the way leh..

I'm driving city idsi auto.. mod are simota intake, bbtb, supersprint exhaust and afc neo.. been with this setup for a yr and no prob..

recently juz did my 80km servicing and it been a month aldy.. use same oil, chg auto gearoil.. using stock plugs but different brands.. switch frm normal denso copper plugs to ngk copper plugs.. same heat range..

Who could been the possible problems? mis-fire?

Pls input..

Thks..

thks for the reply bro.. but previously when i rev at neutral.. the rpm can go smoothly up to 5.. this time round its will hesitate at 3 or 4 like stepping n letting go of the acclerator den it go to 5..

den when im driving.. i step hard on the sccelerator i can feel the car rev up den it jerk.. like getting breathless or something stuck den i feel power loss..

any advice?

u are driving the CVT model right? sounds like ur CVT is faulty.

could be one of the possible reasons oso..

fernie thing is.. ytd drove to my mech.. put to neutral and rev.. 1st round some short hesitation at 4rpm.. den the nxt 3 rounds all smooth..

wad he told me is that could be a dirty throttlebody but i juz wash it 5k ago..

so will monitor and update the progress here if any..

thks..

Hi guys..

I went ot my usual wksp and found out dey do hv OBD..

aft the scan, code error 10-02 IAT sensor circuit high voltage and code error 14-03 IACV Circuit failure.

proceed to wash the TB, maf sensor and idle valve.. but problem still persists.. rpm when rev at 'P' still stuck at 3rpm.

Wksp advise is TB spolit.. wish to get some 2nd opinions here..

Pls input.. thks in advance..

==> bro, the problem is referring to the signal from the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor related circuit so what has it got to do with TB, MAF, Idling valve, etc etc etc??? Its not even near TB having problem.... get your mechanic to check or change the IAT sensor circuit...
seems to me the problem lies on the wiring connection fault or faulty sensor...
