Thermal Wrap

Post by trace » Fri Aug 28, 2009 4:49 am

Hi,

Have anybody done thermal wrap to the manifold ? I realised the manifold is very hot and the engine bay is heating up after TC. Will the manifold crack or rust easily after wrap ? Any other alternatives like ceramic coating ? Tks ! :)

yes, if you have turbo and having thermal wrap will help gas escape out faster and your response for mid and high is good, i can't see any different at low using dyno chart.

But thermal wrap is for racing or car that usual at 6000 RPM or above.
But cannot contact with water le. If got rain, the wrap is still there but effect is not longer useful. That why i said for racing car. Those car always up the lorry when finish race.

if your pip is not custom made stanless steel or if you mean stock, it will crack. I tried before. Don't waste $$$.
