Dear All,
Recently I encounter this problem of water not enough at the opening when we have the radiator cap. I top up every morning. I discovered that the water was actually being suck into the reservoir i think, cos the water in the reservoir increases over time. What could be the problem? Please advise. I dun think is the head gasket problem. I had my radiator changed recently, things are working fine after changed only last week problem surface. I also changed both the radiator fan and air-con fan. BTW, my mileage is 210000km.
Coolant
Radiator
The radiator should not be full to the cap, especially when the engine is cold. The reservoir act as a buffer for the radiator when it is heated up and the coolant goes back into the reservoir. If there is no leakage, you should not be filling up the radiator all the time.
