slight vibration when coming to a stop and moving off
Recently my 1.5year old Airwave have this problem where I can feel slight vibration of the car just before it come to a complete stop. The same vibration can also be felt when moving off, release break before accerating.
When to the workshop 4 time, but they keep saying nothing wrong as they have already done reprograming. Quite frustrated with them.
Anyone experiencing similar problem or know what is the problem or how/where to fix it ?
Thank you.

It could only mean 2 things..... your CVT or your engine mountings.. what is your ride's mileage??angelautumn2003 wrote:Recently my 1.5year old Airwave have this problem where I can feel slight vibration of the car just before it come to a complete stop. My mileage is 29k. I have asked the workshop about engine mounting too. he claim no problem saying slight vibration is normal and acceptable. But I don't think so. At times its quite bad, especially when caught in traffic jam where you only step and release break. Feeling like when you take an old manual taxi...where it always vibrate....
29K is pretty young for CVT to fault... But you never know... many have tried pouring in Oil Extreme Concentrate into their CVT to solve the vibration issue.. maybe you can try that out...angelautumn2003 wrote:My mileage is 29k. I've just sent my car to another workshop for 30k servicing and also to check on the vibration problem.
They changed spark plugs and ask to to use a higher grade of patrol, I am using 95 currently, ask me to use 98 instead.
Ask me to go back again if problem still exist after using 98.
Will try this out for another week or 2...
Thank you for your tips and advise.

Finally got the vibration problem resolved. Thanks to www.bcfmotorsport.com.
It was a very simple solution, but somehow the workshops I go to cannot resolve the problem. Been living with the problem for > 1 year til today.
Rdgs,

mine is vibration before accelerating... its a known issue to fit/city.. probably its the same to airwave... however i didnt encounter vibration when coming to a stop...angelautumn2003 wrote:update... sad to say problem surface again after 1 week.
Still could not isolate the problem..
if u starts off from the downslope...kinda of steep 1.. u wont feel it... same goes to upslope... it wont move forward... (depends on gradient) but kinda of not moving ... and there's no acceleration...if even road.. yes... most of the time... i started to think its the start up clutch, not enough 'juice' to surge forward....
KM feedback this is a normal, a typical 'operation' from startup clutch... i dont know whether there are wrong/right.... trying to smoke me thru...
