I am ready to buy, but let see the COE movement this week first... :P
should still be low cos still lunar 7th month... next bidding confirm shoot up due to following reasons:

1) after lunar 7th month (many people will bid cos can't tahan after 1 month)
2) lunar 8th month (good month to buy cars also many people getting married in Sep 08 so probably some might be buying new car to be their wedding car.
Nice reasoning but:

1) People still buy car in 7th month, just don't register it during 7th month, so the number of bid should be pretty constant

2) 8th Month good for everything for Chinese, but buying car need lead time leh, so if start bidding by next exercise, too late liao...
So so true. COE go up again today. 13,890.

COE up and down is just a cycle to me. Unless there are some big changes coming, else the next round it will be hovering ~$13K - $13.5K, no big deal.

And since you are a dealer, you should know what people in your trade will start teeling buyer from now: "COE quota review coming in Sept, very high chance it will reduce by ~10% or more (from actual vehicle deregistration rate vs projected figures in March this year), so better book now, else COE will be back to >$15K by end sept..."

Time to let the cat out of the bag. I have booked my Crossroad (1.8 L X-Package), and have the COE secured yesterday by the PI, with premium within my expected range. Car already at port, have gotten the engine and chassis number, so now keeping my finger cross that it will be delivered as promised, before end of this month.

Thanks. Will pm / sms you on the pricing details and package I got, so as not to start another debate here. 8)

All I can say is that this are what I have wanted since day 1, and it does take into consideration the trade-in price of my current car.

Hahaha, can't help it, especially my first time buying from PI, which induce more uncertaincy than my previous dealing with KM, MI, VW, etc. So when proper document done, shipment arrive, COE secured, deal is more or less have way through, and less variable, so rather relax now. Don't forget I even get the PI to pen down penalty terms, so in some way I am covered should anything happen *touchwood* ;)

BTW, thanks for your valuable advice too. :)

Bro69,

you can also try giving my PI a call. Gary - 97878262

More PIs for you to select from. Tell him you got the contact from Jin.

Just be careful of the OMVs from the various PIs ... either that or the trade-in value of your current car.

PM the details to those that asked liao. Do note that I do not include who / which PI I got my Xrd from, as it is not my intention to promote for them. Rather, I would like to share my "exeprence" and what pricing / package is achievable.

As said many a time in this forum, to me, there is not such thing as lowest price. Well you may think what I got now is the lowest, but in reality, pricing reflect market situation, so if tomorrow some bad news pop up, COE plunge, car price might be even lower. And for me, with a car to trade-in, have to do extra home work (and leg work) to make sure that the PI is also offering a reasonable price for my used car, and don't forget the I don't allow them to charge a single cent for loan redemption, unused PARF value, COE rebate, etc. etc. (I even go to the extent to find out the actual export value of my ride!!)

In short, I am a very calculative person, in $$$ pespective, and am glad that this PI can accomodate to all my requirements, and have them all properly documented. In fact I got the same offer from another PI, and are torn between which to go to. Yes, I visited the 2 PIs I have shortlisted again when I am ready to book my car, stating the final price and package I want, for them to counter offer.

Hopefully this will be my best car buying experience. :) Wish me good luck. ;)

Ahh, play safe. You are a fast learner

Wish you luck bro.

Btw, can you confirm if the factory tyre is indeed a special one? Less rolling resistance? Or are you going to replace it? Thx
