i was at the showroom on saturday and the price list for city 1.5 M i-DSI is $61k for the 4-bid Non-guarantee option. goes up to $67k for the 1.5 7CVT VTEC.keavze wrote:city also about 60k only?![]()
btw, how come most choose vios har?
vios is thai-made, smaller than the rest...(except m2)
i also picked the vios but not sure why others did too. my personal reasons (no flaming pls...
sunny - OUT !!! i absolutely hate the "ah pek" image it conjurs in my mind
lancer - don't like the look. also, no confidence in a regular mit and i think resale value not great
m2 - it appears small and i don't like the idea that the authorised dealer makes a bundle off mazda cars -- i.e. feel like getting ripped off by them cos their omv generally lower.

i feel:
vios - performance and toyota reliability is there. But i cannot say much for the quality of the interior trims. thai made.
lancer - lack performance when compared to vios, but interior is much better than vios maybe becos it's still jap. And although looks still CMI but still better than vios.
sunny - out
M2 - not worth its price.
my $0.02 worth

ahyo, all my sunny frens who bought it regreted big time. Uncle looks is one thing, but i saw some do up quite nicely. it's the performance and fuel consumption that's terrible.CivicBoi wrote:Bro, why u say dat abt sunny?eclipsx wrote:i feel:

The 1.6 super saloon still ok, but the 1.5...... we compare a 1.5 EG, 1.5 corolla (Hippo) and the 1.5 Ex saloon (2001 model), the hippo sprint wins hands down, follow by cheebic.
Fuel consumption, hippo drinks the least by at least half, both cheebic and sunny sama sama.
Handling at corners, hahaha, cheebic still the best, lowered mah.
Comfort, i personally feel the hippo is better than sunny, more quiet, finishing nicer and cabin looks more elegant. cheebic..... wat's comfort ?
Resale value, corolla is still better than sunny anytime. EG is a different breed, u either love it or hate it.
Cruising, I'll take the hippo to KL anytime, nice, comfortable cruising car. Sunny ok lah, but a bit noisy. EG, if the TP there are as "flexible" now as to last time, and not so on, it's still the best speeding machine with music blasting and windows down.
Top speed, maybe my frens not enough balls, the hippo and sunny seems to slow down at about 160-170. EG, life begins at 160 and still going going going. But i believe they can do much better than that, i've seen much faster sunnies and hippos. In NS hor, not PIE or ECP....
All of us are comparing stock auto cars, only tt the EG is 10yrs older than the rest..... and I m its proud owner hahahhahaa
But if you ask me, the hippo is still the best car car among them, and vios is as good, if not the same as the 1.5 corolla.
Just my personal opinion hor.
Cheers !!!
HAha.. u maybe right.. But in my opinion a stock sunny handles much better den a stock civic.. due to its suspension geometry leh..eclipsx wrote:

for tat kind of $$$ i'll rather get a Year 2000 EK4... still have more than 5 years to drive and probably in good shape if it's bone stock... moreover it's still under the old PARF system... if scrape still can get back 80% PARF + body value...
with a timeless look and a legendary B16A engine... wat else can you ask for?
