The Feeling Never End
Oic, let say the price of a set of average 17" rims & tires is $1300 and the trade in value of your stock 14" sport rims is $350. You only top up about $950 ma, still quite acceptable.burpz wrote:where got PI so gd one.. he very transparent... let me know the difference in costs....chngdon wrote:Bro, I thought your PI willing to throw in 16" for you? Hi guys cannot help but I have my opinion on rims/tyres relations to FC. Correct me if I'm wrong... K???
FC is roughly the amount of energy(petrol + air) needed to burn to make the car move... i.e. 12km/litre means u burn 1 litre of petrol to go 12 km...(abo deenn)
Bigger diameter of overall rim and tyre, Bigger FC.
Smaller diameter of overall rim and tyre, Smaller FC.
If ur rim = 15 but with 205/55/15 is the same as
If ur rim = 16 but with 205/45/16... So equal FC!!!
Becos less diameter = less energy need to turn wheel...
So if you want 16" or 17" but cut FC, make sure ur overall diameter is small... But this will sacrifice comfort... cos tyre less cushioning effect to to leaner height. So what! Install sound proof to your car to cut noise!!!
Also I read in most car mags,if u go for those wide tyres for the sporty look, the more wider contact surface of wheels to ground the more FC. This is due to energy converted more to heat than to energy to move car.... Only my 1cent opinion. If anyone think i'm wrong please share.... If u care, u share... hehe

Wow bro..you sure sound like my maths teacher Me blur already.. Ignition also assist in combustion so getting a set of good plugs also important..Syah79 wrote:Hi guys cannot help but I have my opinion on rims/tyres relations to FC. Correct me if I'm wrong... K???
