Diff is VAFC is for vtec cars like yours. So, u need a VAFC.

Can check out ST power for purchase.

There are also regular group buys going on as well. Check it out. :D
ok....thanx alot...

will it affect the fuel consumption? and will it give more power? also if i am not wrong we can adjust when we want the vtec to kick off rite?

with proper installation and tuning (which can take up to 3 days, depending on who is the tuner) your fuel consumption will improve. i.e. more km per litre of petrol. and yes VAFC - V is for VTEC AF is for AirFlow, and C is for Controller... means you CAN control where the vtec point comes in.

however, that said, pls let the tuner do the job, and set it there... if you feel not shiok, go back to the same tuner to feedback and retune... if not go to another tuner. Unless you are a tuner yourself... dun diy... you can destroy your engine with inappropriate adjustments.

The Sixth Element A1 Power Chip

Post by deathg0d » Fri Aug 11, 2006 5:17 pm

Hi bro and sis,

A friend of my just pass me a small ball call "The Sixth Element A1 Power Chip". It is suppose to increase fuel efficiency if put inside the fuel tank. Anyone heard of this before? I still uncertain if I use try it. He told me that some people experience 8-14% improvement in fuel efficiency.

I recently went to ST Powered to install the vafc 2, however, the guy "ah di" told me to install the safc 2 instead.. he say the vafc 2 is for older model ones.. why??

SAFC2 and VAFC2 is basically the same
Both are playing with AF ratio

Major difference
VAFC2 can adjust VTEC cross over point
(BTW, only cars with VTEC can use VAFC)
SAFC2 have 2 mapping but cannot control VTEC cross over point
(Can be use by all fuel injection rides)

APexi spend $ for research to come out with a VAFC for Vtec ride, why go install SAFC?
