Humming sound while idling at traffic lights

hi all
I am currently driving my second 2006 8th gen. I drove the 1.8m before and then changed to the 2.0M recently. I noticed a humming sound that goes on for about 10-20 secs, stops and comes back again wherever I'm idling at a traffic light on both cars. May i know where the sound is coming from or has anyone encountered this sound before?
