The dealer is offering to install OEM Honda Wheel Locks for $99 (Canadian) in my new Civic that i'm about to purchase.

I've read conflicting stories online about whether or not wheel locks are worth it. Some people say that they don't deter thieves at all, other say they are effective as a deterrent.

What do you think?

In Singapore, there are very few incidents of wheel theft.

Wheel locks won't prevent determined and experienced thieves.

Well, I was thinking of installing those too but in that case I think I'll save the money.

well if the OEM wheel lock is a throw in accessories why not install? But if need TS to come out of pocket than no point. But than again, malaysia security may not be that good compared to singapore. TS may consider.
