New Honda car battery leak

Anyone has the same experience? It's a brand new Honda HRV but the car battery leaks such that one can see powder at the top. What is the best way to handle this?
Can the car battery still be used after a wash and clean up? Or is it best to change it since it is under warranty?
The new Honda comes with the Brand FB which is not available at Kah Motors. They have Yuasa or Hitachi. Which brand is better?
