water leaking through tail light gaskets

Post by philipho » Sat May 02, 2015 11:46 pm

Hi,

Whenever it rains a small puddle of water will form at the spare tyre area

I did some read up and it seems that my tail light gaskets have hardened over time allowing water to seep through, which is a common issue for integras.

Does anyone know where I can fix the seals?

Hi Bro,

Have you found any place which sells the taillight gasket? I have checked with Thian seng and they do not have stock.

What I did is just stick up the back of the gasket and it seals up fine.

Thanks! :)

Kah motor sells the gasket, but they require you to go down personally to order from them.

I managed to fix the leak by removing the bumper + tail lights, cleaning the dirt and applying a layer of silicon on the gaskets.

The most common and perm fix is to drill a hole in the tailights. the fishtank effect will come back no matter how you fix it

HAHAH yup thats what I did for mine as well. drill 2 holes in each corner of each taillight.

Bad design is the issue. Even NSXs had this problem........
