Would you keep your CL7 till end of COE?

Post by Gunfighter » Sun Oct 27, 2013 9:22 pm

Just a poll.

Would you keep your CL7 till the end of its COE?

I think I might.

Good car that never gave me any problems except for alternator problem once which caused stalling when I was driving.

Just 3 more years to go.

Yes, I'm gonna keep it. The other question is what car to replace the CL7 when the COE ends. That's gonna be tough.

I got the alternator issue like you when driving, first time I see all the emergency lights on.

What you will need to do to improve your suspension system of 10 years!!

Change the following:

1 Top Mount
2 Upper Arm
3 Linkage
4 Absorber
5 Sway Bar bushing
6 Bushing holder
7 Wheel Alignment

Definitely keeping the car past 10 years if COE continues to be so high.

Anyone have any idea where to go to have the car go through a thorough makeover to make it feel new again?

I have been wanting to remove the squeaks and vibrations that are happening since driving the CL7A past 5 years.

My CL7A is past 8.5yrs old. The usual wear and rear replacement for this car. Biggest repair item was my alternator that broke down half a year ago. In fact, I felt the car a lot more powerful and fuel efficient after I changed my alternator and belt. Loving this car and will drive it till 10 yrs old.

Have been starting to research on possible replacement cars. But none have given me a strong urge to change now or next year... Even the Kah Motor current version is so exp (~$200k) and put me off... May still consider the Honda Accord Euro version next year even if Honda has decided to stop its production...

Cheers to CL7A/R!

Hi Snowshake, I suppose for upper arm, top mount and linkage, you are referring to the bushing? Or do you mean the structures?

IMHO, there's really no saloon cars that has what the CL7R in terms of looks and power.
