Dear Bros,

Am driving a honda fit and my abs brake light is on and my horn is not working.
i went to my 1 regular workshop at ubi but the mechanics cited high cost to change abs and need check stock from autorize dealer and no stocks for horn cable.

basically unwilling to help me diagnose the problem

pls help as my inspection in Aug and i need to go to a workshop urgently to resolve it.

Relax, small issue, not difficult to fix.

1....for ABS, please use the term "ABS indicator", and not ABS brake light...haha. Go find somebody or shop and can read DTC code off the OBD. To understand the situation better.

2. For the horn, why cable? and not the horn itself? Normally the horn is wear and tear, and its about $40 each.

But, if both horn and ABS is failing almost together, at the same time, then sorry, you are in for a slightly expensive repair of your SRS cable reel on ur steeling wheel. Have you ever mod ur car?

the abs indicator light up before, but i did not went to diagnose as the normal workshop i went comment is expensive etc so doesn't want to check.

the horn sometimes work and sometimes doesn't work. but it doesn't work 90% of the time. the cause was i had to installed a rear view camera and the mechanic who installed the rear view camera did not do a good job to ensure the stability of the cable from the radio to the back, i believe the mechanic cut the horn cable wrongly or did not do a good job. but anyway i believed him since i seldom use my horn.

now inspection coming, how !
