Questions re oil coolers on CL7R

Post by charcoalx » Mon Mar 25, 2013 2:32 pm

Would like to consult all those bros running oil coolers on their EuroRs.

I previously installed a Works cooler with custom lines and there is an obvious low whining sound when driving. Ah Heng (SKM) told me all CL7Rs with oil coolers installed will more or less have this type of sound.

1. What oil coolers are you using?

2. Do you experience a 'whining' sound when you step on the accelerator?

Getting used to the whining sound already.. haha.
Electricity is actually made up of extremely tiny particles called electrons, that you cannot see with the naked eye unless you have been drinking...

Its damn irritating. I removed my Works oil cooler already due to this.

Anyone on the Earls oil cooler kit? Any sound on that one?

It is due to the balancing shaft which is built into the euro r oil pump

Change it to the fd2r oil pump will eliminate the sound... Advisable to do this if u track often cause the balancing shaft is prone to seizure are many track days... Can go read up on the internet
