Here you can see Wilson's excellent DIY of his Hayden 677 with eaton-weatherhead hoses and stainless fasteners :D He did a good job, we started around 2pm,, all done by 4+pm including the initial waiting time for the engine to cool down.. this is proof that anyone can do a professional DIY, and after you've done it, you become a pro 8) and that the $40-60 charged by workshops to do it is crazy.. and some of them do a half-assed job.. long live the DIY spirit 8)

the CVT routing is slightly different, you can see from the diagram below how it is done, this is using the radiator as a primary heatsink, with the ATF cooler providing additional cooling (In-Series Routing).. if you want to use a manual radiator, you'll need to upsize your ATF cooler..

PRO??!!!  No man.... I am more of a apprentice. HAHAHA. Hmmm... the tast of ATF fluid??? HAHAHA.. luckily with the help of Pete's advise & guidence, managed not to get any into my mouth. But the feeling is superbly good. Having to fit up the ATF cooler and ensure all hoses are tightened and to my expectation and the fit everything back... Wow!!!.... All I can say is... AWESOME!!! Its tiring, but its really RADICALLY AWESOME!!! :D

haha the guys told me abt your track driving.. don't trail the brakes so much they'll overheat, plan your braking zones.. talk to joe/paul/ultrabear etc the rest of the more experienced trackkers

changing brake pads/rotors is very easy.. but do you know why nobody DIY's it? coz the price of a set normally includes installation  you won't save any $ by installing it yourself.. if you really wana learn how to do it.. come down for the next DIY session.. i'll show you how to dismantle your brakes and put them back together again  the pads/rotor can be a 1-man job, the calipers is a 2-man job coz you'll need someone to pump the brakes while you bleed the lines abit.. that's if you really want to try haha

while we're on this topic.. i should state joon's rules of DIY.. it only applies to me.. but you guys might find it helpful:

1. Know your limits!! Some jobs require special tools.. attempting those would be foolish

2. Money can earn back, Time cannot  so if you got no time, either plan a schedule or pay a good garage to do it.. prioritise

3. Get the Service Manual, and do your research.. not having it limits the work you can do on the car.. some bro posted a link on it some time ago.. you can download them online.. http://www.hondahookup.com/manuals/ if you are a true car enthusiast, instead of reading all the dream/tuner car magazines about cars you can't have, spending some time reading the service manual of your own car will increase your knowledge 1000%.. and you'll understand why when i say some of the workshops here are full of shit

4. DIY is about fun, learning and interacting with other car enthusiasts :D

Yo Pete... looking forward to the 2nd DIY day. Yup, I wanna experiment my openpod with heatshield. The alu heatshield, which the workshop did for me is not very good. Seems like its trapping heat... which your analysis is correct. Really wanna try the foam heatshield to see how's the effect.

Haha, I think the projector headlamps may take quite a while. TYC is using good silicone for the seal and it's hard to remove. Maybe I shouldn't have got the idea of 'modding' it. I may install the ATF cooler at GR while you Hipermax your ride tomorrow . Reason being that I see no place to suitably mount the bugger and frankly quite unwilling to drill the front impact beam.
