Guys,
Need help to advise me what is the actual problem on my car?

I'm driving Honda Jazz 08 model. The knocking sound started very loud at the first time I heard it when I returned home from JB. The sound just like the stone hitting my car underneath. I stopped at road side immediately and check, nothing abnormal found under my car.

Since after that time, on/off I heard the knocking sound which it's really annoying. Even the sound not really loud like 1st time I heard.

Observed also when I'm start to accelerate after stop at traffic lights, up/down loop on the road or car park and also left turn. But the knocking sound not hear every time but only occasionally!

I went to Kah Motor, checked and found nothing! I went to one of the car workshop intro by friend, also checked with found nothing.

It's really annoying and I wish to get some of your guys to advise me what will be the exact issue on my car ?

And also and good car workshop in town that recommend ?

Appreciated all.

knocking sound most probably caused by midpipe/cat converter rattling at your undercarriage

that is because rubber hangers which dampens the noise, vibration and secures the exhaust hook might have dropped off while driving

aftermarket replacements easily bought at car care/diy sections at major supermarkets or autobacs

do provide feedback if this helps for others who experience same problem

Hi,
I send my car back to Kah motor and asked them to help to check all the possible items included the one you suggested.

Unfortunately, once again I get the result as no abnormality on my car. The worse case was when I'm test drive the car with the mechanic, the sound just don't want to appear. sigh....

Second day after the inspection, I hear the sound again....!!!

I think I just give up and drive as what the car condition it is from now on.

Thanks for the advise.

Hi,
I'm not sure the exhaust type as it's original once I bought the car.

The sound can hear when I start accelerate and stopping. While the problem is not repeatable and only occasionally heard.

Thanks.

I had a similar knocking sound before. Mine's a 5G City. This weird knock comes & go randomly and is exactly like what you described; during take-off and stopping.

Later a master mechanic found the problem... lack of grease on the door locks! Brush some butter grease in it & the knock disappeared.

I suspected brake/rotors or something underneath too... turned out to be the door locks. Give it a try.

Cheers

Exhaust hanger mounting change to stiffer ones or if urs is oem check for any parts hitting against the car chasis when accelerating. Do it while car is hoisted. Mine kanna downpipe knocking agaist the catalyser silver metal cover. Another time was one of the cover below chasis bolt loose. Only way is to hoist car up and rev engine. Thats what the jb mech did. ::)
