Start car engine with cigarette power socket inserted, oki?
Hi guys,
Got a query here... Is it oki to crank the engine, ie start the engine with the cigarette power socket, with all ur electronic stuff connected, inserted? Is there any impact to the car battery?
I notice that when the crank is going on, there is a power cut to the cigarette socket and it comes back on when engine starts or when car key is back to accessory position.
Thanks...

I thought so too cos whenever the engine cranks, the lights and power to the cigarette socket will be temporarily disabled during the crank, thus I concluded it is oki...funkychicken wrote:It uses the most power to crank ur engine hence ur accesories socket will dim, best is to switch off all electrical like air con, headlight ciggte socket power o/p but no issue for me on my ride for 4 years with gps and ionizer on.
