dun worry... if you are keen, you can join in even on that day we set off, or meet us half way if you can contact us...

now say no use one... actual day show up den is counted... if you are keen, do come meet us first sometime so you won't be driving with a bunch of strangers...

basically there will be two groups... one is the 110kmh group... the other group is slower... you can decide which group to join and jump around when we rendevous at some preplanned rest points... oh yeah... one more is the express group i.e. non-stop except for the one or two pee-stops... so you got 3 groups basically... :)

May I suggest we put up indicative date of departure so that it is easier to make arrangement for the trip. For example, 15 jan - 20 jan or 21 jan - 25 jan

Thank you

THE proposed date is from Tuesday, 8 January 2013 (evening) till Sunday, 14 January 2013.

Actually will be back by Sat or early Sunday so that Monday can go back to work...

This date is 90% confirmed. those need to plan and take leave may do so now...
Those who got not enuf of leave or wish to leave earlier can do so, the direction to the Sadao Immigration is actually quite easy to exit from Hatyai town, I will lead those bros going off earlier out of the town to the trunk road leading to checkpoint.

The custom checkpoint will close operation from 12am midnight - 6am dawn daily, so we leave around 7pm - 8pm from jb would be idea to arrive Sadao by dawn avoiding morning working hours jam along those bigger states like Penang/butterworth will be hell if around 7-8am. Try to be the first few to clear custom, cos we have vehicle pass to clear too, 50km to hotel from checkpoint, we will probably could check in hotel before 9am, have a famous pig organ soup breakfast ON ME and straight to Honda Agent.

We have 4 working days with the workshop equiped with 20-30 hoist workstation, some bros are going there for major by-pass and transplant which needs more den 2 days,

se@n wrote: In addition to passport, also MUST need:

- copy of vehicle log card
- letter of authorization if you are not the registered owner
- international driving license (get from AA)
- 3rd party car insurance (buy at MY side before crossing into TH)

Also good to have:

- if you don't already have it, pay a bit to extend the coverage into TH your SG car insurance
Bro Sean important pointers.

- copy of vehicle log card
- letter of authorization if you are not the registered owner - I can help to photoshop copy to your name if vehicle belongs to your father
- international driving license (get from AA) - not neccessary if driving your own car and I have never apply for one before after 12 trips into thailand
- 3rd party car insurance (buy at MY side before crossing into TH) - Can buy a one week coverage at the custom carpark, anyway we have to park our cars for processing

If everything goes as planned, there could be an Altis, a Beemer 3series and a Latio coming along with our ES. I will try and jio my GTR neighbour to come along  you might not have another chance to convoy up such a long journey in a lifetime somore mostly ES. Warning: Its a 9-12hours drive one way depends on traffic condition and some gila ES. (3 R&R break as planned)
