Wanted to change to AP brakes and got a quote for 4pot front 2pot back. Price on the high side so didn't change.
Bro Odc maniac jio me to try JBT and the price is alot cheaper. I have put on hold my BBK changing plans till I change my rims. Currently running on 17" +45 offset which a 4pot should clear, but dun take my chances...haha

==> local EBC supplier just called me and he is checking and working out a proposal for me... will share that with all ODC bros then see how many interested.... EBC rotor, EBC Green pad and SSBH... using original caliper though... think its good enough and should be very much cheaper... budget budget....Nov wrote:Wanted to change to AP brakes and got a quote for 4pot front 2pot back. very tempted to go for Wilwood though but lets see what EBC has to offer... afterall, I have been using EBC for the last 3 cars and confidence level is already there...

==> bad news... EBC couldn't locate a direct replacement for RB3... they only have the brake pads... which I find it weird.... have pad but no rotor? anyway, will be taking measurement of the stock rotor then match it against whatever they have see if there is a match.... stay tune....UltraBear wrote:==> local EBC supplier just called me and he is checking and working out a proposal for me... will share that with all ODC bros then see how many interested.... ==> brake efficency is definitely better and brake fade doesn't happen that early as compared to stock stuffs. Durability greatly subjects to your driving habit... BUT if you're one who is picky about dirty rims, then EBC will not be a wise choice coz it produces more brake dust...Nov wrote:Bro Ultrabear :
How does the EBC brake pad/rotor compare against the stock stuff on your old cars? Like performance, wear?
Bro stockrb3 :
Just curious what rims are you running to fit the 6pot (mini or big?)

Re: RB3 : Brake setup
Finally gotten my RB3's brake setup done at Auto Dynamac.
Front
Brake Rotor : Dixcel High Performance Rotor (direct replacement)
Brake Pad : EBC Green
Rear
Brake Rotor : Original Honda
Brake Pad : Bandix
Brake line hose : Magnum II Performance Braided Hose with Dot 5.1 brake fluid
Brake effect improvement is obvious even without running in the rotor and pad!!!
Total cost of this setup : less then S$1,500 for both front and rear
Definitely good enough for spirited driving

ultrabear bro, how's EBC green working along with dixcel slotted rotor so far?
How's the wear on the disc since i heard EBC green eat pretty much of rotor but since you had a slotted rotor with it, wondering how is the rate like? Any screeching sound? Understand you had your brake set up done at one go. how much you paid off for the dixcel slotted rotor?
Btw you are on rear Bendix MK pads?
Pardon the questions cus i'm also considering EBC green since current stock pads are due soon. and definitely gotta change my stock rotor since EBC with stock rotor is a big no go.
