I'm not sure about the car model codes but if these two are the 200hp versions then I am definitely interested.
Btw how do u know they are the JDM 200hp versions as it doesn't state it in the ad?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Looking to buy JDM Odyssey 200hp Absolute model
Hi c32b,
Here's an old post on how to identify a JDM Absolute.
http://www.shc-forum.com/viewtopic.php? ... highlight=
* 1st identification point on the exterior is the silver Absolute badges on the front door mouldings and on the tailgate. Next is the non-colour headlamp, Kah ones are blue. 18" rims.
* for the interior it's the half leather & blue fabric seats, no headrest for 2nd row centre passenger, 180km/h speedometer etc.
And this is a Kah Absolute with JDM Absolute badges. Giveaway signs are the full leather seats and built-in radio.
http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=232615
And here's a JDM RB3:

Not that common to find a JDM Absolute in the used car market, I chance upon mine through Classified last Oct. Happy Absolute shopping!

If YoU DrInK yOu DiE, If YoU DuN DriNK yOu ALso DiE!!!
Main Differences :
The Absolute uses the k24A2 engine, the EXV uses the K24A1,
ENGINE OUTPUT
K24A1
HP 160 @ 6500RPM
Comp Ratio 9.6:1
Displacement 2354cc
K24A2
HP 200 @ 6800RPM
Comp Ratio 10.5:1
Displacement 2354cc
The key difference lies in the top block design with the K24A2 using more agressive cam profiles combined with EGR porting and triple cam lobes on both the exhaust and intake ends.
This allows much better high end flow with power which continues to build until 6800rpm giving 200bhp.

see so many Honda other model owner rebuilding and upgrading their engines,
if the tranny can take it, might be a good mid-life upgrade to undertake to give the car a second-life!
how much would the upgrades ( top block design agressive cam profiles combined with EGR porting and triple cam lobes on both the exhaust and intake ends) cost? Are "drop in" alternatives considering that the engine is old now and there are alot of similar parts compared to faster Honda models?
