Hi all,

Just to check any one change their engine mounting? and price? i was quote around $880 for the replacement of 4 mounting, price reasonable?

If $880 including install charges, it is reasonable.

if with labour, it is reasonable. Spares already almost $700.

Hi Bro,
Is there any symptons when yur mounting is cracked? Like vibration or noise. So far during my last servicing, Stamford tyre had pointed that 3 of my engine mountings had cracked. So far while drfiving did not notice any abnormalities. Where did u change the mountings and how long do they take to do the job?

i have 2 mounting crack, the bottom and driver side, but replace all. The symptom is the vibration especially during cold start in the morning and sometime u can hear weird noise from the engine.

is this expected wear and tear? thought only zhng cars change engine mountings

Rubber will deteriorate over a period of time, duration of each ride depends.

my workshop also told me that mine engine had sagged due to detoriated engine mount..Guess it would not be long before i had to change it

Suggest u check around which stock it's hv stocks and buy and keep first.

Can you share which workshop did you go to repair the mounting? One workshop quote me $880/- for parts and including labour - it will cost abt $1100/-.
