Vtec not working

I driving airwave 1.5 and my wife drive city 1.5 vtec.
Last night found that her vtec is not opening after 4k RPM. Been try until 5.5k RPM still no kick in.
Today I try my own airwave, still working fine.
Vtec can spoilt one meh?
How to fix / check?
Heard by vtec controller can slove the problem?

I have same engine. One will pause and kick in and other quietly and slowly go up.

Change out the Vtec solenoid valve. That should fix it.

VTec can feel one meh?
I thought only the old VTec engine can feel.
Since i-vtec launched, it has been refined with BHP distributing across the rpm curve, the butt can no longer feel it.

Check your engine oil level.
When the engine oil level is low, the vtec will not work

install vtec indicator if you think its not working lo.
will light up if vtec is "activated"
