Hey Ryo what happened to your Ogura clutch? Which one were you using?

Use carbonetics? Can easily source from local distributor. Or exedy.

Feedback from who and on which of the clutches? Their carbon series seems to be well received.

my experience was with exedy hyper single clutch on my previous DC5R.. the bite is definitely better than stock resulting in a lot of wheel spin whenever i throw the clutch, but downside is that it is not very lasting... mine lasted for like half a year only... not easy to drive too, ride will be jerky if ur not familiar with the binding point...

personally i still prefer stock clutch to aftermarkets... but heard that carbonetics is not bad too...

Stock lasted me thru 3.5~4 yrs of trackdays, drift sessions and 115000kms. Slip only came a little at the end.

Youri77 is right about the aftermarket clutch being not very lasting. my experience was with an Ogura Twin plate with my brother's rex. i did the change because the stock clutch was slipping and mechanic said the car was "too powerful" for it and recommended me to change to that. So being a noob about cars and placing too much trust on the garage, i changed it. The clutch plates manage to last me about a year and recently just changed the 2 plates and the damage was about $1k.

Like what youri77 said, the bite is really good! I was throwing clutch like mad and at the same timing hope that the gear box will not blow. Once I was playing around with the fifth gear, leave it at neutral and back to fifth, i accidentally hit it in on 3rd, BAM! I could feel the hard punch of the clutch and i could feel the g-force of the car. Later I ended up hurting my back. haha! So that's the good point. Bad is sometimes your left leg can be a bit tiring if kena traffic jam.

RYO, your clutch plate gone or it's everything gone?

I'm on carbonetics single since Dec 2010.

Set comes with a lightened flywheel (I think should be around 3.6kg) and bite is good. It's still going strong after 2 track days and daily aggressive driving.

Worth considering.

hi ko mars, can check with you. Does your carbonectics clutch kit generate a very loud transmission noise.

Upon deceleration from about 4k rpm down and when you hold throttle at about 3.5k rpm.

Yes, it's the harmonics generated from the lightened flywheel. Only at specific RPM range.
